Whether in a sunny or semi-shaded spot, this versatile plant thrives in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil, making it a striking addition to any garden landscape.To grow Photinia 'Red Robin' with success, plant in a sunny or semi-shaded position, incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Water regularly until fully established, and apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost in spring. For maintenance, remove any damaged stems and lightly trim those that affect the plant's shape in summer after flowering.
